After School

The Blacksburg New School offers a state-licensed after school program for the convenience of current and alumni families. The school also offers several extracurricular activities, depending upon student demand and availability of instructor or parent sponsor.

After School Program (ASP)
Program Director: T.J. Stone

This state-licensed program runs from 3:30-5:45 each weekday. Staff members include BNS faculty members and students from the Virginia Tech Early Childhood Education program.

Students may play outdoors or work on homework assignments during the after-school program.

The after-school program is very popular with both children and their parents and includes a "Movie Day" each Friday. Charges are incurred only for the time the child is actually present. No pre-registration is necessary.
