| After School The Blacksburg New School offers a state-licensed after school program for the convenience of current and alumni families. The school also offers several extracurricular activities, depending upon student demand and availability of instructor or parent sponsor. |
After
School Program (ASP) This state-licensed program runs from 3:30-5:45 each weekday. Staff members include BNS faculty members and students from the Virginia Tech Early Childhood Education program. Students may play outdoors or work on homework assignments during the after-school program. The after-school
program is very popular with both children and their parents and
includes a "Movie Day" each Friday. Charges are incurred
only for the time the child is actually present. No pre-registration
is necessary. |

Game Club Middle Schoolers meet weekly to play a variety of board games including Chess, Settlers of Catan, and Risk. |
