After School Program (ASP)
The Blacksburg New School offers a state-licensed after school program for the convenience of current and alumni families. The school also offers several extracurricular activities, depending upon student demand and availability of instructor or parent sponsor.

This state-licensed program runs from 3:45-5:45 each weekday. Staff members include BNS faculty members and students from the Virginia Tech.
Students may play outdoors or work on homework assignments during the after-school program.
The after-school program is very popular with both children and their parents and includes a "Movie Day" once per month (usually on a Friday). Charges are incurred only for the time the child is actually present. No pre-registration is necessary.
Fees:
- $12 per afternoon (3:45-5:45)
- $6 per afternoon if child is picked up by 4:45
- Cap: Maximum charge of $40 per week per child
